Melville, N.Y., June 17, 2020 – With the support of BRdata’s e-commerce system, Murphy’s Fresh Markets has launched a curbside pick-up model to offer a new grocery shopping alternative. Customers now have the flexibility to order their groceries online for pick-up at their local store. With curbside pick-up, it is possible to overcome some of the challenges of COVID-19 by providing a way to social distance while shopping for groceries.
Murphy’s Fresh Markets is a family owned supermarket chain located in New Jersey that attentively serves their local communities. Their implementation of BRdata E-Commerce was launched mainly in response to the outbreak of COVID-19 as an effort to protect and provide for these communities. However, as more supermarket chains establish an online shopping presence, this platform provides a long-term opportunity to grow and scale operations. BRdata supported pricing, inventory, coupons, loyalty, rewards and more combine into an ideal consumer experience with a lasting competitive edge.
This online service is made possible with technology developed by enterprise software company, BRdata. This service is also fully integrated with Murphy’s Fresh Markets’ back-office system, which is driven by BRdata software. BRdata diligently worked with Murphy’s Fresh Markets to envision a solution that balanced the needs of both their staff and customers. The resulting click-and-collect service is user-friendly across the board. “Not only was the BRdata team helpful and available for most of our initial questions and concerns, but they often went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met,” said Ron Murphy, Vice President, Murphy’s Fresh Markets.
BRdata and Murphy’s Fresh Markets have had a long-term partnership cherished by both companies. “For more than 20 years, Murphy’s Fresh Markets has relied on BRdata as our full-service solution for IT and data related business needs,” said Murphy. “When it came time to choose an e-commerce platform, there was no question as to which company was going to be the best partner in allowing us to customize our initial e-commerce site to the needs of our customers and store staff.”
“Murphy’s Fresh Markets is a pillar in the local communities that they serve,” said John Abbene, President, BRdata. “As a longtime BRdata customer, we are delighted to see them expand on our grocery back-office technology, with our seamlessly integrated cloud-based e-commerce, loyalty, and reporting solutions. We are grateful to support grocery retail stores, who are on the front-lines during the COVID-19 pandemic, and proud to contribute an e-commerce solution that brings alternative shopping methods to their customers.”
